Request for Speaker Proposals
The TFA Conference Planning Committee is seeking proposals for breakout session speakers for this years TFA Actively Aging Conference. We will be offering 25 session throughout the conference for attendees to learn about trends, best practices and innovative projects and programs that aim to help the aging network improve the lives of the older adults we serve. Each session will be one (1) hour in length no more than two (2) speakers in each session.
Submissions will be selected based on the following 5 tracks:
All proposals must be submitted electronically using the link below.
Proposals are due no later than Friday, August 30th. Speakers will be notified if their proposals have been selected by September 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Cynthia Balfour at [email protected].
TFA 2024 Conference Registration Scholarship
TFA is offering scholarships for the conference registration fee for the 2024 TFA Conference December 10-12, 2024. This year’s conference is entitled “Actively Aging”.
You can submit scholarship applications starting TODAY through Friday, August 30th, 2024.
Please note, due to a decrease in financial support for scholarships, fewer scholarships are available this year.

LATE OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED. Please do not submit the application through the TFA website. Only submit to [email protected].

- Seniors Centers/Healthy Aging
- Aging on Place/Long-Term Care Services
- Service Coordinator/Senior Housing
- Elder Rights/Justice
- Public Safety (EMS, Fire, Police)

Please note, due to a decrease in financial support for scholarships, fewer scholarships are available this year.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a current, paid TFA member with membership that covers the date of application & dates of the conference. (Email [email protected] if you’re uncertain of your membership status.)
- Complete and submit the application form along with the appropriate financial documentation (see below and attached).
Please keep in mind that scholarships will be given out based on:
- Financial status
- The details of the statement of need/reason for requesting assistance
Please send the following required paperwork to me at [email protected]:
- A fully filled-out copy of the application form (attached).
- The appropriate financial documentation:
- Non-profits/independent centers or agencies must submit the first page of your Form 990 as filed with the IRS.
- Government entities must submit a P&L statement or copy of financial statement from the most recent audit.
